Jim Corbett Safari

Jim Corbett National Park is named after the famous hunter and conservationist. It is the oldest national park in India which was established in 1936. It is known as one of the best and most fascinating national parks in the world.

Jim Corbett National Park is home to 110 tree species, 50 species of mammals, 580 bird species and 25 reptile species. You can find pipal, sal, haldu, rohini and other trees that cover close to 73 per cent of the entire park area

Best Time to Visit

The monsoon season is the least favourable time to visit the park due to the heavy rainfall received in those area. Some time parks remains closed during that season.


According to most visitors , the best time to visit is during March 15th to April 30th when one can get the smell of fresh grasslands.

The winter season is good as it gives tourists the opportunity to set their sights on some rare migratory birds. 

Jim Corbett National Park Wildlife Safari

Jeeps are available to explore the wildlife. Tourists are placed in an open or enclosed jeep. Sometimes they are made to walk, depending on the situation at the park.


From Indian Pangolins, leopards, Himalayan Black bear and more, the vast spread is quite a treat to the eyes. You might get a chance to catch a glimpse of the Royal Bengal Tiger if you are lucky. The various safaris are available which include a Jeep Safari, Elephant Safari, Horse Safari as well as a Bird Safari

The winter timings of the Corbett National Park are as follows:
Morning Safari: 7:30 AM - 10:30 AM
Evening Safari: 3:00 PM5:00 PM















The summer timings of Corbett National Park :
Morning Safari: 6:30 AM - 9:30 AM
Evening Safari: 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM

Flora and Fauna


There are almost 488 different types of species of plants in the park like Bel, Chbilla, Dhak, Bakli, Pula, Bamboo, Semal, Sissoo, Ber, Kuthber, Kharpat, Rohini etc.


The park include 33 different species of reptiles, 7 different species of amphibians, around 7 different species of fish and 37 different species of dragonflies. Royal Bengal Tigers are prime attraction of park along with Leopards, the Himalayan Black Bear, the Wild boar etc.

Among the reptiles, Indian Marsh Crocodiles Or Mugger, Python and Monitor Lizard ,Gharials , King Cobra, Common Krait , Cobra, Russel , among other small and large reptiles in the vicinity.
