Jim Corbett National Park is named after the famous hunter and conservationist. It is the oldest national park in India which was established in 1936. It is known as one of the best and most fascinating national parks in the world. Jim Corbett National Park is home to 110 tree species, 50 species of mammals, 580 bird species and 25 reptile species. You can find pipal, sal, haldu, rohini and other trees that cover close to 73 per cent of the entire park area Best Time to Visit The monsoon season is the least favourable time to visit the park due to the heavy rainfall received in those area. Some time parks remains closed during that season. According to most visitors , the best time to visit is during March 15th to April 30 th when one can get the smell of fresh grasslands.
